Where does chiropractic care fit in with traditional veterinary medicine| Tail Animal Chiropractic Care
As dog and cat owners look for new ways to take care of their pets, I am often asked how chiropractic care and traditional veterinary care can work together. The answer is very simple but often overlooked: they go hand-in-hand perfectly well. Chiropractic care and veterinary care do not cancel each other out, nor should one be used exclusively.

Chiropractic care is a wonderful and effective complement to veterinary care, allowing animals to get better faster and live healthier lives. By adding more “tools to the toolbox,” doctors are better able to address issues and offer the best care available.  Look no farther than your own toolbox to see that certain jobs require specific tools. Chiropractic care is best utilized for problems having to deal with muscles, joints and the nervous system.  Great results have been seen with animals suffering from arthritis, sprains, strains, and other various ailments.  In some cases, chiropractic care is often the most affordable solution to get animals feeling better and back to activity.  However, traditional veterinary care will always have its place, and there certainly are times when medication and surgery will be the most effective treatment your pet can get.  With so much at stake, it is important that your veterinarian and animal chiropractor are in communication so that all aspects of your pet’s health are covered.  With so many great veterinarians and great animal chiropractors, the future is bright for happy and healthy pets!
